Students from the Chicago High School for Agricultural Science enjoyed a unique "Shadow Opportunity" at Brookfield Zoo on Friday, March 23, 2012. This is the third annual Shadow Opportunity for juniors and seniors from CHSAS, who are selected to partner with a Brookfield Zoo crew member who is in a profession of interest to the student. At CHSAS students may take classes in veterinary science, animal science, culinary arts, business, horticultural, and other science career focus areas. The pairing with Brookfield Zoo keepers and staff allows these students to see first hand what real world opportunities are possible and to learn what conservation leadership in action is all about.
