Wild Adventure Planned for Valentine’s Dinner at Brookfield Zoo

Brookfield, Ill.—This Valentine’s, couples and significant others can show off their wild side at a special Nights in the Wild dinner at Brookfield Zoo on Saturday, February 12. The adventurous, romantic evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with guests being greeted at the South Gate by the zoo’s Catered Events staff. From there, diners will be escorted to The Swamp exhibit for cocktails and an array of delectable hors d’oeuvres. Afterwards, they will board the heated Snowball Express for a cozy ride to Bocaditos restaurant, where an elegant surf-and-turf dinner awaits.

The full-service meal, which will be prepared by the zoo’s executive chef, will begin with a tomato bisque en croute and Caesar salad. An intermezzo of lemon sorbet served in a frozen lemon rind bowl will precede the main course of petit filet mignon with wild mushroom ragout and port demi glaze and lobster tail with drawn butter. Dinner accompaniments will include Duchess potatoes and seasonal fresh vegetables. A mouthwatering dessert of a heart-shaped cake for two will conclude the meal. Premium wine and champagne will be available throughout dinner. The night will continue with dancing ‘til midnight.

The cost for the Valentine’s Nights in the Wild dinner is $225 per couple. To register or for further information, call (708) 688-8355.
