Learn about orangutans, Asia’s only great ape, and the effects of the palm oil on their future, from Carol Sodaro, who has worked with orangutans for over 35 years. An associate curator at Brookfield Zoo, Sodaro has been involved in orangutan conservation on behalf of the Chicago Zoological Society since 1984. She will discuss conservation initiatives that have been taking place in Indonesia and Malaysia over the past three years.
