The action is out in the open for most of the animals on The Savannah. You can expect to find a herd of reticulated giraffes towering over the trees as they search for food. Ostrich also roam, and often run, kicking up dirt as they go.
Or, cozy up to a window and watch African painted dogs. The mottled canines are usually busy keeping their pack order by playing, wrestling, hunting, and sharing their latest meal.
Inside the Kopje building, find klipspringers skillfully climbing on steep rocks and look up higher for nesting birds. You can also venture into an aardvark den to learn more about nocturnal life.
Whatever you choose, be sure to carefully scan the wide landscape for other hidden treasures.
