Public Transportation
From Downtown Chicago and Western Suburbs
It's easy to get to Brookfield Zoo from downtown or the western suburbs via Metra's Burlington Northern line. Exit at the Zoo Stop (Hollywood Station) and then walk two blocks northeast. To obtain a train schedule, call Metra at (312) 322-6777 or visit their Web site at www.metrarail.com
If traveling by bus, take PACE bus routes 304 or route 331 to Brookfield Zoo. PACE bus service stops just outside the zoo's South Gate.
For door to door directions, call the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) at 836-7000.
From the Airport
If you are arriving at either O'Hare or Midway Airports, taxi fare to the zoo can be expensive. Consider taking public transportation into downtown Chicago and then the Metra train to the zoo. Or, if you plan ahead, several of the city's limousine services offer reasonable fares to and from the zoo and the surrounding suburbs.
