New Study Helps Research Nasal Tumors in Gray Wolves
Through a study of Mexican gray wolves, researchers hope to aid in conservation efforts of the endangered species, and determine whether a type of nasal tumor is more prevalent in wolves or domestic dogs. Black-footed Kitten Receives Extra Care
Hours after his birth, Animal Programs staff became concerned about a male black-footed cat's well-being because his 4-year-old mother, Cleo, appeared not to be providing proper maternal care. The kitten was not nursing and his body temperature was alarmingly low. Additionally, he was significantly underweight at birth. Baby Aardvark in Excellent Hands
Because of the dedicated care provided by Brookfield Zoo keepers, veterinary staff, and nutritionist, a now healthy 13-pound calf has a bright future ahead of it. Zoo Camp Registration
Registrations are now being accepted online on a first-come, first-served basis for the following camps: Pre-Zoo (Ages 4-5 not attended Kindergarten); Half Day Discovery (K-2nd grade completed); Full Day Discovery (K-2nd grade completed); Adventure Camp (3rd-5th grade completed); Zoo Lab (6th-8th grade completed).Each week of Camp is Monday through Friday and will run the following weeks:

- July 9, 16, 23, 30
