Early Childhood Education Experience for Erikson Students


 

In partnership with the Erikson Institute located in Chicago, Illinois, the Chicago Zoological Society offers one internship at the Hamill Family Play Zoo each school year to a qualified graduate student interested in Child Development and Play Program Facilitation.

Interested candidates must get the approval and referral from Erikson staff. In addition, prospective students must complete an entire C.E.L.O. application packet as described here.

  • Requirements for Participation
Student must:
  • Be referred to CZS by Erikson staff 
  • Hold a minimum cumulative gpa of 2.5
  • Provide proof of current tetanus immunization (within 10 years) if offered position. This is at the cost of the intern.
  • Submit to a complete background check if offered position.
