Kratt Brothers to Make Return Appearance at Brookfield Zoo
PBS Children’s Entertainers Scheduled to Perform June 30

Brookfield, Ill.—Kids of all ages can head to Brookfield Zoo for a fun-filled day with the adventurous Kratt Brothers on Sunday, June 30. During the 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. “Amazon Adventure” shows, the brothers will engage youngsters in learning about unique wildlife behaviors and share stories about some of their amazing travels. The show will take place on the zoo’s West Mall.

Prior to each show, members of the zoo’s Animal Programs staff will present informal Zoo Chats featuring a tamandua (small anteater), a boa constrictor, and a bird of prey.

Martin and Chris Kratt are well known for their popular PBS show “Wild Kratts,” which airs Mondays to Thursdays at 5:00 p.m. on WTTW 11.

The shows, which are sponsored by The McDonald’s Owners of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana (MOCNI) and American Airlines, are free with regular zoo admission of $15 for adults and $10.50 for children ages 3 to 11 and seniors 65 and over. Children 2 and under are free. Parking is $10. Due to the Kratt Brothers’ popularity, those planning on visiting the zoo on June 30 should consider taking public transportation. The Chicago Zoological Society, which manages Brookfield Zoo, inspires conservation leadership by connecting people with wildlife and nature. The Chicago Zoological Society is a private nonprofit organization that operates Brookfield Zoo on land owned by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. Open every day of the year, the zoo is located off First Avenue between the Stevenson (I-55) and Eisenhower (I-290) expressways and is also accessible via the Tri-State Tollway (I-294),Metra commuter line, CTA, and PACE bus service.
