FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lecture and Book Signing with Dr. Vint Virga at Brookfield Zoo
Brookfield, Ill.— Drawing from stories and research from his experience as a consultant to zoos and wild animals parks, Dr. Vint Virga will delve into the realm of animal communication during a lecture at Brookfield Zoo’s Discovery Center on Thursday, July 25, at 7:30 p.m.
As a specialist in behavioral medicine with more than 25 years in veterinary practice, Dr. Virga will reveal key truths of wolf and dog communication and how we as humans can translate them into more meaningful connections between ourselves and other species. Merging slides and a talk with a reading from his recently published book, The Soul of All Living Creatures, this evening will offer a unique glimpse into the mysterious world of animal behavior. A question and answer session and book signing will follow his presentation.
Dr. Virga has served as an advisor to leading U.S. corporations, professional associations, and animal welfare organizations and has appeared as a featured guest on ABC World News, National Geographic Explorer, and PBS Nature. As a writer, he has been awarded with two MacDowell Fellowships and a George and Kate Kendall Fellowship.
