Participants of the Caring for Camels Wild Encounter work directly with morning keepers on exhibit to clean and check the exhibit, weigh out grain, chop produce, help feed and shift camels between their yards. Participants will be able to feed the camels and in the Spring and early Summer, possibly help groom our herd through a protected barrier.

This is appropriate for animal lovers and zoo fans from age 12 to adult. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian (adult does not need to pay fee). The cost is only $200.00 per member ($250.00 per nonmember), which includes a non-refundable deposit equal to 25% of program cost.
