Official Rules for Brookfield Zoo 75th Celebration Online Scrapbook

Online Scrapbook Deadline
75th Celebration Online Scrapbook begins June 1, 2009, and ends August 2, 2009, 11:59 p.m. CST (“Online Scrapbook Period”).

Entry Information and Photo Requirements
  • Each photo submitted must include a contact name, phone number, and e-mail address.
  • If possible, each photo submitted should include a description (names of subjects of photo, year or decade photographed, etc.).
  • Up to five photos may be submitted. However, each entrant will have only one chance to win a drawing prize.
  • Send your entry to scrapbook@czs.org. Each photo must be submitted in JPEG or PNG format. Please limit image file size to 1 MB (1,000k) or less.

All entries must be received by August 2, 2009, 11:59 p.m. CST. The Chicago Zoological Society (“Sponsor” or “Society”) is not responsible for any computer error, entrant’s inability to access the official entry rules on our Web site, or injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any material or any other error.

Entry photos must be unpublished and suitable for publication (i.e., may not be obscene or indecent) and must not infringe the rights of any third party.

All entries become the property of Sponsor. Submission of any entry further constitutes the entrant’s consent to irrevocably assign and transfer to the Sponsor any and all rights, title and interest in the entry including, without limitation, all copyrights and moral rights. By submitting an entry, entrants grant to Sponsor and its agents the right to modify, adapt, sell, publish and/or use or not use the entry in any way, in whole or in part in any and all media now known or later developed, including on the Society’s Web site, without geographic limitation or additional compensation, except if entrant is a resident of TN and where prohibited by law.

Eligibility
Open to residents of the U.S. (except Puerto Rico). Chicago Zoological Society (Brookfield Zoo), its employees, trustees, officers, and volunteers and advertising/public relations agencies (“Sponsor and its agents”) and their immediate family members or persons living in the same household of Sponsor and its agents are ineligible for drawing. No purchase is necessary to enter the drawing.

Drawing and Notification
Each entrant will be eligible for a special Online Scrapbook drawing. Each winning entrant may receive only one drawing prize.

The drawing prizes are as follows:
  • A choice of one of these Wild Encounters packages: Aviary Adventures, Swamp Things, or Hanging Out with the Herps. (Must be 12 years or older) More information on each program is available at http://www.czs.org/czs/Brookfield/Plan-Your-Day/Things-to-Do/Wild-Encounters.
  • A one-year Family Membership to Brookfield Zoo. (If entrant is already a member, the one-year membership will be added to the existing membership.)
  • One copy of Brookfield Zoo and the Chicago Zoological Society, published in June 2009.
The Online Scrapbook drawing will be held on August 3, 2009. Drawing prize winners will be notified by phone or e-mail on August 3, 2009, or as soon after August 3, 2009, as possible.

Standard rules for Wild Encounters packages and Brookfield Zoo memberships apply.

Any drawing prize won by a minor will be awarded to his/her parent or legal guardian, who must sign all required documents. No prize substitutions or cash equivalents, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Prizes are nontransferable.

General Terms
By entering, entrants agree to: (a) release the Sponsor, its agents, and the Forest Preserve District of Cook County from all liability, injuries, loss and/or damage of any kind arising from their participation in the Online Scrapbook and the acceptance, possession and use/misuse of any drawing prize; (b) agree to be bound by the Official Rules; and (c) give his or her express permission to be contacted by Sponsor by email or phone. By submitting an entry, entrant consents to the use of his/her name, photograph, likeness and entry photograph for advertising, promotional and educational purposes without additional compensation in all media worldwide (except if winner is a resident of TN or where otherwise prohibited by law). All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Drawing is governed by laws of the state of Illinois, with venue in Cook County, Illinois.

Winners’ List
For a list of the 2008 Online Scrapbook drawing winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Public Relations Department, Online Scrapbook Winners, Brookfield Zoo, 3300 Golf Road, Brookfield, IL 60513. Requests must be postmarked by August 5, 2009, and received by August 15, 2009.
