Birds Around the World Tour (two hours)
Explore the world of birds as you make your way through The Swamp, Perching Bird House, the Formal Pool, Be A Bird, The Living Coast and Salt Creek Wilderness. Can you figure out why birds have different beak shapes, are different sizes, and are different colors? Usually this is because of where they live and what food is available.
African Safari Tour (half-day)
If you've got the time, we've got an African adventure for you. Enter at the North Gate, and begin your safari at The Fragile Desert, where you can visit porcupines, meerkats, sandcats, and other desert dwellers. You can stroll past the lions outside. Then head off to visit the giraffes in Habitat Africa! The Savannah and their forest cousin the okapi in Habitat Africa! The Forest. Take a break for BZ Redhots and Ice Cream. After you've eaten, continue your safari with the elephants and hippos in Pachyderm House. Then finish your trip with the gorillas and other primates in Tropic World: Africa. Be sure to stop in the Zoo Shop's Habitat Africa! market, where you will find masks, jewelry, and other African treasures. Or swing by the North Gate shop for some kid-friendly souvenirs.
