Program for Students with Disabilities
BROOKFIELD ZOO CAN MEET THE NEEDS OF EVERY STUDENT!
We’ll work with you to tailor any class to meet the needs of all students. We also offer programs specifically designed for groups with disabilities. E-mail Access2@CZS.org or call (708) 688-8369 for information or to reserve a program.
HOW THINGS ARE WRAPPED
Available for all ages. Offered Monday through
Friday. September through May. $4.50 per student. Minimum of 5 students and maximum of 12 students with staff as required based on the needs of the group.
Use your senses to explore real animal artifacts, photos, and live animals. Find out how different animals use their fur, skin, feathers, and scales. This class can be modified to meet the particular needs of your group. A visit to Hamill Family Play Zoo is included.
EVERY STUDENT IS A SCIENTIST
Teachers of inclusion classrooms with students with visual, auditory, or physical disabilities are encouraged to bring their students to participate in our Every Student is a Scientist Program. These classes incorporate the use of Tablet PCs that can be modified to meet the needs of all of your students. For information about specific classes, see descriptions for Wonders of Our Wetlands (grades 4-6) on page 8 and Endangered! Primate Populations (grades 6-12) on page 11.
