Make it a complete weekend by combining a family class with a family trip to Brookfield Zoo. These programs use the same principles behind Hamill Family Play Zoo. Each program is a single session that family members can enjoy together.

Under One Rock

3-5 yrs

Under One Rock What will we find when we overturn just one rock? You and your child will be taken by surprise by just how much we discover! Join us as we immerse ourselves in a small world filled with a large amount of soil, plants, and animals. We’ll start the class with activities, play and snack and then make our way out into the park to find just the right rock to look under.

$15.00 per member ($25.00 non-member).
An adult must also participate in this program.
$30.00 per adult/child member pair.
$50.00 per adult/child nonmember pair

Start with Art

4-6 yrs

Start With Art! Throw on your artist’s smock and walking shoes so you can come join us at the zoo for a family art class. Use your artist’s eye as we stroll through the park and look to Brookfield Zoo’s wild residents for inspiration. Sign up for one class or register for all three; each week will include new art experiences and a visit into the park. Start with art, then stay to play at the zoo!

$20.00 per member ($30.00 non-member).
An adult must also participate in this program.
$40.00 per adult/child member pair. $60.00 per adult/child nonmember pair

What Lies Beneath

6-8 yrs

What Lies Beneath Join us for a version of our “Under One Rock” class that is geared to a slightly older crowd. We plan on taking full advantage of having Indian Lake right here in the park and hope to inspire you and your child to become explorers! We’ll provide the locations and materials to help you investigate what is around and under us and we’ll even have snacks-you just need your curiosity!

$15.00 per member ($25.00 non-member).
