Associate Curator – Aquatics and Reptiles/Amphibians, Animal Programs
Responsibilities:
Assist Curator in the management of all on-site and off-site programs and operations of the aquatic and reptile/amphibian collections in accordance with the Society's long-range plan, especially with respect to personnel, facilities, animal, and public programs. Lead and direct operations, staff management, and animal care of the Living Coast and Swamp workgroups and other areas within the Animal Programs as assigned.
Requirements:

Management Supervisor-Craftsman
This position contributes to the success of the Chicago Zoological Society by assuring the daily operations and activities of the Craftsman Department are carried out in an efficient and quality manner to assure proper maintenance and repair of facilities in order to contribute to exceptional guest experience, a quality workplace for staff, safe and appropriate enclosures and exhibits for the animals, and to positively contribute to the maintenance and improvement of Society assets.
Responsibilities:
Manages, oversees and directs daily department activities for Crafts workers in the performance of their duties and responsibilities related to the care and maintenance of the park facilities. Works closely with the Maintenance Manager of Plant & Facilities in daily park preparations and furtherance of guest experience and customer service objectives. Oversees and directs exhibit work, carpentry, welding, and painting work, and other craftsmen duties as required. Schedules work orders/work assignments, work crews, equipment, and oversees daily work to assure quality control, efficiency, and productivity. Coordinates work assignments and work schedules with other areas as needed. Effectively uses a computerized maintenance database to create, dispatch, de-log, and complete work orders. Runs reports to query the database as needed or requested. Supervises Lead Craftsmen.
