ZooBrew Returns for a 7th Year at Brookfield Zoo
Enjoy bears and beers, lions and lagers, anteaters and ales and more

            Brookfield, Ill. – Brookfield Zoo’s annual ZooBrew event – a fun-filled, beer-tasting festival – returns on Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The 21-and-over event, sponsored by Blue Moon Brewing Company, offers zoogoers the chance to sample more than 80 ales, lagers, stouts, porters, and malts while taking in wildlife and nature.

ZooBrew has something for everyone: sampling both new and favorite specialty beers, a variety of food options, and a silent auction that features memorabilia from participating breweries. There will also be live music for guests featuring funk music from DTFunk on Saturday and 90’s hits from the band, Run Forrest Run on Sunday.

Plenty of breweries will be in attendance to quench your thirst, including 2 Fools Cider, Ballast Point Brewing Co., Bravazzi Hard Italian Soda, Brickstone Brewing, Constellation Brands, Finch Beer Company, Heineken USA, HofbrÀuhaus Chicago, Kinslahger Brewing, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, New Belgium Brewing, Noon Whistle Brewing, New Holland Brewing, Revolution Brewing, Right Bee Cider, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and Wild Onion Brewing.

A variety of ticket options are available, all of which include free parking and admission to the zoo on that day anytime from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.:

  • General admission tickets ($55) include 3 oz. samplings from more than 80 beers and a commemorative ZooBrew tasting glass.

  • VIP tickets ($85), available on Sunday, June 24 only, include early admission to the ZooBrew tent starting at 3:00 p.m.; exclusive access to the VIP Beer Garden sponsored by Brickstone Brewery, featuring samplings of select specialty brews, snacks, and food; a visit with some of the zoo’s ambassador animals; 3 oz. samplings of more than 80 beers; and a commemorative ZooBrew tasting glass.

  • A general admission designated driver ticket ($35) and a VIP designated driver ticket ($45) are also available and include unlimited soft drinks (no beer sampling allowed).

Located on Brookfield Zoo’s East Mall, ZooBrew is for adults ages 21 and over, and children will not be allowed to attend the event. Tickets are limited and available at Event will proceed rain or shine.
