How do I submit my study for evaluation?

A unique and secure log-in will be created for you to access our online software system, where you can directly upload your studies as either DICOM (preferred) or JPEG files. The process is simple and we will send you a step-by-step guide to help walk you through the process. We also offer the option of uploading the studies for you via disc or electronic link, but this slows down how quickly we can get a report back to you.

Is customer support available in case I need assistance?

Absolutely. We have staff available 7 days a week to provide any assistance you may need. Our dedicated phone line (708-688-8RCS) and email address ( are monitored throughout the day.

Are the studies and patient information that I submit secure?

We understand the sensitive nature of your images and patient information. We take extensive precautions to safeguard this material. Electronic security measures are in place to eliminate third party access and all case information and consultant reports are relayed through a dedicated web-based interface, which only you can access.

How soon can I expect to receive the written report from the radiologist?

We offer a 48-hour turnaround time for most written reports submitted Monday through Friday. STAT reporting is available for an additional fee with reports typically generated within 24 hours.

How will I receive my report?

Written reports will be available for viewing or download immediately upon completion using your private login to our secure online platform. A copy of the report will also be emailed to you.

Does the RCS offer other imaging services and support?

The Radiology Consulting Service offers a full range of imaging services to meet your needs. We are pleased to offer on-site medical consultation and diagnostic imaging services, staff training, study-planning consultation, research project support, as well as RACE approved continuing education lectures and more.

Is there a difference between submitting studies A La Carte versus a Member Contract?

All the services we offer are available to both our A La Carte and Member Contract clientele. The only difference is that if you anticipate frequent submissions, a contract offers the best pricing option and per submission savings over our A La Carte pricing.

Can I request a specific radiologist for my submission?

Our radiologists work as a close team and frequently consult with one another on cases. Rest assured that you will receive the same consistent quality from our service regardless. While we do not encourage requests for a specific radiologist, we will accept these requests, but please be advised this may lengthen the turnaround time for reporting.

Can I request specific annotated images?

Absolutely. Annotated images are included with every report at no additional cost. For cross-sectional imaging, these will generally also include 3D reconstructions. Our radiologists will typically self-select a variety of key images. However, we are also happy to obtain specifically requested images to help you with procedure planning, external media release, explanation of disease process to staff, or for public education. Complicated time consuming requests may incur a small additional fee.
