Brookfield Zoo Chicago Launches New Mobile App to
Enhance Guest Experiences and In-Park Navigation
With real-time alerts about animal enrichment sessions and feedings, Zoo guests can make sure they never miss an awe-inspiring animal encounter
Brookfield, Ill. — With the goal of helping guests make the most of their visits, Brookfield Zoo Chicago launched a new mobile app today that offers the ultimate guide to exploring one of the Chicago area’s most beloved attractions. Available for free download on iOS, Android, and other major smartphone platforms, the new Brookfield Zoo Chicago app allows guests to pre-plan their Zoo adventure day, features a GPS-enabled map for easier in-park navigation, and more.
“We are excited to introduce our new mobile app, which marks a significant step forward in enhancing the guest experience at Brookfield Zoo Chicago,” said Andrea Rodgers, senior vice president of guest experience and operations. “With this app, guests can easily buy tickets, plan a visit, find the nearest restaurant, make a donation, and access a wealth of information about animals and exhibits right from their smartphones. This launch is a key component of a broader digital transformation planned for our programs as well as areas across our campus, with many more innovations to come."
Guests can prepare for an unforgettable day at the Zoo with the app's pre-visit features, which include the ability to plan itineraries, search for their favorite animals, purchase tickets, and map out their day.
Once at the Zoo, the app is an indispensable companion, with a GPS-enabled interactive map that provides the most efficient routes to visit favorite animals and attractions. It also displays dining and shopping opportunities nearby and highlights animal experiences and events to ensure users won't miss out on any of the day's highlights.
Zoo supporters can also use the app to be notified about exclusive offers, learn about Brookfield Zoo Chicago’s conservation efforts, find out more about the animals, and stay up to date on the latest Zoo news. And, within the coming months, Zoo membership cards and account information will also be integrated. For more information, visit brookfieldzoo.org or download the app directly from your app store.
