Blue-throated Macaw - Petal

Petal hatched at the Los Angeles Zoo on June 20, 2019 and arrived at Brookfield Zoo in 2022. Blue-throated macaws are one of the smaller species of macaws, named for the area under their lower beak having blue feathers. They are very social and very vocal birds that make a variety of sounds of different volumes depending on their intent.
