Seedlings

DATE: Wednesdays or Saturdays

Seedlings are some of Brookfield Zoo Chicago’s earliest class experiences. Join us for our “nature play group” that provides opportunities for children ages 1-4 years to start to learn about and interact with nature during a 4-week session. Alongside their favorite partner in play (that would be you!) children make friends with nature through play experiences, songs, and meeting a weekly animal visitor.

Registration will open at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, February 10.

Session C | Saturdays, April 18 - May 9, 2026

Session D | Wednesdays, April 22 - May 13, 2026

Important Information:

• Only those persons registered for the class may attend.
• We are unable to accommodate children (this includes infants) who are not registered. Please do not bring other children along as they are not able to stay with you in the class and the zoo is not open to guests at the time of class.
• If an adult visitor would like to attend one of the classes there will be an additional charge of $10.00, payable in cash at the time of the class. (For example, if a relative is visiting you and would like to come along.) This amount covers our registration fee and allows the guest to stay in the park and visit the zoo for the day.
• Cameras are welcome for you to record your child’s many special moments!

Can a second adult attend with my child?

Due to limited space, only one adult is able to attend with each child, but it does not need to be the same adult for each session. If you would like to substitute a different adult for the registered adult, let your Play Partner know during the first class.

Are infants/strollers allowed?

This program is designed for a child and their adult to play and learn together. Additionally, this class takes place prior to the zoo and Hamill Family Play Zoo opening. As such, unregistered siblings and/or infants should stay with another trusted adult for the duration of the class and are welcome to join you and your child once the class is over.
