Gorilla Trek

Gorilla Trek Virtual Reality Experience will take you on a wild encounter! Guests will find themselves trekking through the lush forests of Rwanda to get a close-up look at mountain gorillas – without leaving Brookfield Zoo Chicago.

Developed by Immotion, the global leader in immersive edutainment, Gorilla Trek VR will take you on a virtual journey as you enjoy a 360-degree live action film with motion platform seating for an unprecedented look at endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat in Rwanda.

Venture with world-renowned primatologist and Executive Director/CEO of Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, Dr. Tara Stoinski, as she leads Immotion’s award-winning VR team through the dense and unforgiving Volcanoes National Park, documenting the family dynamics of these amazing, majestic and critically-endangered creatures who share 98% of our human DNA.

The Great Migration

Join us at our Virtual Reality Theater on an incredible journey through Africa’s Great Migration. Each year, millions of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes traverse East Africa's wide-open grasslands in a continuous, circular trek in search of fresh grazing lands and water, pausing only for a few months when females are giving birth.

In the latest addition to Immotion's wildlife immersive film experiences, The Great Migration, witness how these millions of free-roaming animals make their way through the peaks and perils of Africa's savannah terrain, from the Maasai Mara river in Kenya to the majestic landscape of Tanzania's Serengeti, in search for a better life across the animal kingdom. View now through September 15, 2024.

Flight of the Mantas

The majestic manta rays of Mozambique need our help to survive. Follow marine conservationists as they work to protect these highly intelligent and very curious giants of the oceans. The experience takes viewers on a deep dive under the crystal waters off the coast of Mozambique, following marine biologist Dr. Andrea Marshall on her quest to study and protect the local manta ray population. Known internationally as “Queen of the Mantas,” Dr. Marshall is co-founder of the Marine Megafauna Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to the conservation of endangered marine wildlife and to the restoration of healthy oceans.
